The Writing Studio’s new course Kids Write takes children through the process of writing their stories.
Aimed at children from the age of 10 to 18, it’s a unique course that allows young writers to explore their voice as writers and tell their stories.
The course is done via correspondence, which allows kids to work in their own space and at their own pace, with writing coach Daniel Dercksen taking them though the process of:
- What it takes to be writer
- What do you need to be a writer
- What do you want to write about?
- Writing a story from inspiration to first draft
It’s a practical course with writing exercises that will be evaluated throughout the course.
One-on-one sessions can be arranged for kids living in the Cape Town area.
