Unlock a new creative language. The Writer–Artist Lab is an immersive workshop where writers, visual artists, designers, photographers, and performers collaborate to build stories across mediums. Through cross‑pollination exercises, silent creation, worldbuilding, you’ll discover how story lives beyond the page — in colour, gesture, rhythm, and image.
This 3‑hour creative workshop is designed to bring writers and visual artists together in a shared storytelling space. The workshop offers a unique blend of text, image, and enhanced creativity.
Participants will explore cross‑medium exercises, including visual‑to‑text translation, behavioural storyboarding, silent collaboration, and worldbuilding through mixed media.
“This is not a writing class,” says Daniel Dercksen of The Writing Studio. “It’s a creative laboratory where story becomes visual, emotional, and cinematic.”
The workshop is open to writers, artists, designers, photographers, and anyone curious about hybrid storytelling.
This innovative new workshop from The Writing Studio forms part of the Open-Studios weekend in Prince Albert. The workshop runs from 2pm to 5 pm on Sunday, 14 June, and offers a unique blend of text, image, and enhanced creativity.
